TripView - Sydney & Melbourne App Reviews

Update: several years later and I still use this app daily. Its the reason to own an iOS device in Sydney. This is seriously the most practical and useful app I own, and it works great. OP: If you live in or are traveling to Sydney, this is a must have application. Im surprised that the developer hasnt adapted it other cities as well. Its seriously amazing.

Excellent app to travel in Sydney

I *could* use google maps. But this app truly excels in point to point trips. i.e. this station to this station without transfers, which is what I use it for. The "bookmarks" help greatly for this. I use in Newcastle and Sydney. For transfers, I supplement with google maps.

The  Watch part of TripView is fantastic. It gives me exactly what I need in the glance and upon launching. The distance sorting and auto-reversing allows the watch app to nearly always show me the train I want to take -- based on where I am and my saved routes. Very thoughtfully done.

Best transit app I’ve used. Very simple and clean. I used it extensively in Sydney from 2012-2014 but have since moved away. Wish there was a transit app anywhere near as good for other cities.

The best of the transport apps finally closed the loop on the last great missing feature! You can now sync trips across devices. Thanks!
